The Webster Technique is a chiropractic adjustment technique that is specifically designed for pregnant women. The primary goal of the Webster Technique is to address imbalances in the pelvis and sacrum, with the belief that these imbalances may contribute to difficult labor for pregnant women.
The technique involves a specific chiropractic adjustment of the sacrum, which is the triangular bone at the base of the spine. Chiropractors using the Webster Technique aim to reduce interference to the nervous system and balance the pelvic muscles, ligaments, and bony structures. By doing so, we hope to create a more favorable environment for the baby to move into the optimal birthing position.
There is a weekly support group offered through Prisma on the first floor of Oconee Memorial on Tuesday's from 4-5pm.
